We welcome all to discover the rich history of San Antonio Winery, celebrating over 100 years in Los Angeles. We provide a variety of wine tasting options for guests, where there’s an experience for everyone. From steward-led wine tastings on the patio at The 1917 Wine Bar & Bistro, to steward-led large group tastings in our Stefano Cellar, and wine flights from our Maddalena Restaurant. Whatever your preference, we can satisfy every taste.

The 1917 Wine Bar & Bistro Hosted Wine Tasting

Welcome to The 1917 Wine Bar & Bistro. The name of this bistro was inspired by the history of our winery and reflects the year it was founded. We hope you enjoy our award-winning wines from our estate vineyards in California as well as our Imported Sparkling wines from Italy and France.

The word “opaque” means “impenetrable to light” and refers to the dark, inky, impenetrable color of our proprietary blend “Darkness.” The Opaque wines reveal the impressive quality of our estate-grown Paso Robles grapes: Petit Verdot, Malbec, Zinfandel and Tannat. Enjoy the darkness!

Paso Robles is California’s fastest-growing wine region and largest geographic appellation, encompassing more than 40 thousand acres of vineyard and almost 200 wineries. Paso Robles is a unique wine region blessed with optimal conditions for producing premium quality wines. With more than 60 wine grape varietals grown, Paso Robles also produces a unique and exciting array of wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Sirah, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc.
