Somebody at your company has been handed the holiday party. If that somebody is you, here is the good news: the hardest part of this is picking a venue, and you can finish that today.

Here is the better news. Rooms for December book out early, and it is early November. You are ahead rather than behind, and that will not be true in three weeks.

Why a winery beats a hotel ballroom

A holiday party has one job, which is to feel like something other than a Tuesday at the office. Most venues fail at that before anyone arrives, because a conference room with a tree in the corner is still a conference room.

San Antonio Winery has been making wine at the same address in downtown Los Angeles since 1917. It is the original historic winery, run by the Riboli family across four generations, and it is the oldest family winery in California.

Your guests walk into a working winery rather than a function space. The wine is made here. The rooms have history in them. Nobody has to be told it is special, because they can see it.

Wine Enthusiast named us American Winery of the Year, which is a useful thing to be able to say in the invitation.

The spaces

We host events across several private rooms, which means the venue scales to your headcount rather than forcing you to pick between a room that is too tight and one that feels empty.

The Vintage Room is where the winery started, with a vaulted redwood ceiling that carries the character of the original space. It is the room people remember.

The Stefano Cellar hosts private indoor group tastings and works well for a smaller team gathering, roughly 9 to 55 guests depending on format.

Maddalena Restaurant brings Old World charm and Italian cooking to the middle of your event, and The 1917 adds outdoor patio dining if you want your December party to take advantage of the fact that this is Los Angeles.

For larger groups, the Riboli Family Winemaking and Events Center handles 50 plus guests and includes a tour of the facility, which turns a party into an experience your team talks about afterward.

Capacity, layout, and availability vary by room and by date, so the fastest way to match a space to your group is to tell us your headcount and your preferred week.

What is handled for you

This is the part that matters if you are the one organizing it.

Catering is on site. Maddalena Restaurant is part of the winery, so the food is not a separate vendor you have to coordinate, chase, and hope shows up.

The wine is ours. You are hosting at the place that makes it, which removes an entire category of planning and means your guests are drinking something with a story rather than a house pour.

One point of contact. Room, food, and wine run through the same team rather than three.

That is three vendors collapsed into one, which is the difference between a party you organized and a party you survived.

Add a tasting to the night

If you want the evening to do more than feed people, build a tasting into it.

Our private large group wine tastings are designed for groups of 10 or more and work particularly well for corporate events, because they give people something to do together that is not standing near the bar making conversation. A hosted tasting gives your quieter team members a structure to talk inside, which is worth more at a work party than any playlist.

You can see what is currently scheduled, including seasonal events, on our Los Angeles events calendar.

Not in downtown LA?

We do this at our other locations too. Ontario and Paso Robles both host private events, so if your team is closer to the Inland Empire or the Central Coast, start there instead.

Book it now rather than in three weeks

December dates are finite and the good ones go first. Fridays and the week before Christmas are always the first to disappear, and a party planned in mid-November has options that the same party planned in early December does not.

Here is the shortest path: decide your approximate headcount, pick two or three dates you could live with, and get in touch. We will tell you what is open.

Start with private events in Los Angeles, or contact us and we will take it from there.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book a holiday party venue in Los Angeles?
As early as you can, and ideally by early November for a December date. Fridays and the week before Christmas book first. Having two or three possible dates rather than one makes it considerably easier to find something that works.

How many people can you accommodate?
It depends on the room and the format. Our Los Angeles private rooms range from intimate gatherings to larger receptions, and the Riboli Family Winemaking and Events Center handles groups of 50 plus. Tell us your headcount and we will match you to the right space.

Is catering included or do I need a separate vendor?
Catering is on site through Maddalena Restaurant, which is part of the winery. Food, wine, and the room run through one team rather than three separate vendors, which is the main reason organizers find this easier than a ballroom.

Can we do a wine tasting as part of the party?
Yes, and it is worth considering. Private large group tastings are available for groups of 10 or more and give your team a shared activity rather than leaving everyone to mingle. It works especially well for corporate events and team gatherings.

What makes San Antonio Winery different from a hotel or restaurant venue?
It is a working winery that has operated at the same downtown Los Angeles address since 1917, family-owned by the Riboli family for four generations and the oldest family winery in California. Your guests are somewhere with a history rather than in a rented room.

Pick a date and we will handle the rest

The party is going to happen either way. The only question is whether you spend November booking it or December scrambling for it. Book your 2026 holiday party at San Antonio Winery in downtown Los Angeles through our private events page. Availability is limited and rooms book out early. Please enjoy responsibly; guests must be 21 or older to consume alcoholic beverages.
