This holiday season, treat your out-of-town family and friends (and yourself) to a unique experience by visiting Los Angeles’ very own urban winery – San Antonio Winery. There, you can do a wine tasting, take a tour and learn about the winery’s unique history, browse the gift shop, and enjoy hearty Italian and American food at it’s Maddalena Restaurant.
The Maddalena Restaurant is actually very big attraction for the winery. Named after the winery’s founding mother Maddalena Riboli, Maddalena Restaurant is able to accommodate over 300 people in its main dining room and its few private rooms. The dining areas are all lined with century-old redwood casks and dimly lit to create a soft ambiance. Music is always playing overhead, and sometimes there is even a live musician. During holidays like Christmas and Valentines, special decorations are put up to get patrons in the lovely spirit.
Maddalena Restaurant’s extensive menu is made up of gourmet salads, artisan sandwiches, hearty meats, handmade pastas, and delectable desserts. Favorites include the fresh, handmade ravioli and stuffed lasagna, both of which are Maddalena Riboli’s own special recipes. These are two of the many dishes Maddalena had perfected at a young age when she found her passion for cooking by helping her mother in the kitchen when they lived in Italy.
Maddalena Restaurant is open daily, as is the tasting room at San Antonio Winery, LA. For more information, visit SanAntonioWinery.com.
