Winemaker Bios

When Santo Cambianica founded San Antonio Winery in 1917, he began a winemaking tradition that has spanned four generations. Today, the entire Riboli family continues this proud devotion to quality. To celebrate this achievement, all of our handcrafted products belong to the Riboli Family of Wines. Our commitment is reflected in every bottle that bears the Riboli name.

Anthony Riboli is the first member of the fourth generation to join our family business. He is also the first family member to receive a formal degree in winemaking and grapegrowing from U.C. Davis. Anthony graduated from this prestigious program in 1998 with a M.S. in Viticulture. During the 1997 harvest, he worked under Michael Weis at Groth Vineyards and Winery in Napa Valley. Since joining Riboli Family Wine Estates, his foremost goal has been the constant improvement of our wine quality through meticulous focus in the vineyards. Major innovations have included clonal selections, crop thinning, and deficit irrigation. One of his greatest pleasures is being able to work beside his father and grandfather in our winery.

Arnaud Debons – After graduating from the prestigious winemaking program at the University of Toulouse in France, Arnaud worked in the Bordeaux and Cahors regions of France. There, he found French winemaking too conservative for him. Arnaud decided to move to the U.S. for a change and challenge. He worked for several years in Napa Valley as an assistant winemaker for Newton Vineyards. Arnaud joined the winemaking team at the San Antonio Winery in 2003. He brings constant energy and commitment to his job, and particularly enjoys visits to the winery’s estate vineyards in Monterey, Paso Robles, and Napa Valley
